We're looking for a developer with experience of Microsoft C# and .Net technologies, and who is used to working on mass-market issues.
Our customer is a major player in energy and commodities trading (electricity, gas, coal, crude oil, LPG or carbon emission certificates). Intervening across the entire energy supply chain, it also works to facilitate the energy transition to low-carbon fuels worldwide.
We have been supporting our customer for many years in the development of its own "tailor-made" internal CRM. This tool covers all aspects of trading activities worldwide: from transaction entry through the middle-office, with P&L report generation and price risk management, to invoicing, for all traded commodities: electricity, renewable energies, gas, crude oil, refined products, biofuels or carbon certificates.
Our customer stands out in the world of energy trading by making its tool the heart of its business processes. As an experienced full-stack developer, you will be involved in accelerating the development of an analysis platform used by all the group's decision-makers.
This platform is fed by data generated by the CRM as well as data from various external databases.
As a member of the analytics team, based in Geneva, Switzerland, you will :
o Design new, innovative and high-performance analysis platforms for traders, analysts and data scientists.
o Work as part of an international team.
o Integrate user feedback to improve systems and fix bugs.
o Implement quality code that is well documented, tested and reusable.
o Provide user support and training for business applications on day-to-day issues.
o Work on exciting and diverse projects, such as: GIS (Geographic Information Systems) based systems, data harvesting and re-distribution, trading analysis to improve business processes.
Qualifications that will set you apart :
- Experience in GraphQL or gRPC is a plus.
- Experience with React is a plus.
- Experience with Reactive Extensions (RX) preferred.
- Previous experience in the commodities industry and/or trading.
We are looking for a candidate with the following knowledge/skills:
o Excellent oral and written English skills.
o Minimum 5 years' experience in C# and related .NET technologies, within large international companies.
o Experience with relational and SQL DBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
o Experience of working in an agile scrum development model.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster interactions with project stakeholders.
o Proactive and user-focused, with a positive attitude and a genuine interest in both the functional and technical aspects of each challenge encountered.
o Promotes software development best practices.
Autonomous with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities.
You must have a university degree (bachelor's or master's) or an engineering diploma in computer science, information systems management or an equivalent field.
